This bantam chicken cage layer addition expands your existing cage system by 3-6 birds with integrated egg roll-out trays, automatic nipple drinkers, and slide-out manure trays. Stumphouse Farms ships this modular cage layer to bantam breeders and small-scale poultry operations across all 48 states from our Anderson, South Carolina, location.

IMPORTANT: This is an add-on layer for the ComfortPlast stackable cage system. It does NOT include the base frame, wheels, or water tank. If you need a complete cage ready to use, order a complete 1-layer system, 2-layer system, or 3-layer system instead.

This layer fits Silkies, Sebright, Cochin Bantams, Belgian d'Anvers, Booted Bantams, and other small breeds. The 15-inch front height provides comfortable headroom for bantams, while the tilted egg-roll-out trays automatically collect eggs without disturbing your birds. The ComfortPlast elliptical flooring prevents the common foot injuries associated with wire flooring. Manure drops through the slotted floor into slide-out trays for easy daily cleaning.

Bantam breeders use these layer additions to create custom configurations for breeding pairs, trios, grow-out pens, and show bird conditioning without building separate wooden coop structures.

Critical: This Is An Add-On Layer Only: This layer requires an existing ComfortPlast cage base with frame and wheels, or another complete layer to stack onto. You cannot use this as a standalone cage. The stackable design lets you start with a complete 1- or 2-layer system, then add layers as your flock grows. Each layer is identical and fully interchangeable.

Egg Roll-Out Trays: The sloped ComfortPlast floor tilts eggs forward into exterior roll-out trays. This keeps eggs clean and unbroken outside the living space. No more searching for hidden eggs or disturbing broody hens. Simply collect eggs from the external trays several times daily. The gentle slope prevents egg cracking while ensuring all eggs roll forward.

Automatic Watering System: Three stainless steel nipple drinkers connect to a silicone hose running through all layers. Drip cups beneath each nipple catch overflow to keep litter dry. The sealed system prevents algae growth and contamination. Connect your water source to the top of the cage stack, and water flows to all layers.

Smart Feed Grill System: Flexible red shockproof grills cover the 6.5-pound feed trough, reducing feed waste by 30%. Bantams can access feed through the grill spacing, but cannot scatter or bill feed out of the trough. The removable trough slides out for refilling and cleaning.
